About 'EAGLES'

The beginning

A group of about ten airmen, during 2002-2003, frequently met, interacted, shared their happiness and supported one another in grief. On 14 June 2008 thirty ex-airmen gathered at Calicut and the nostalgic participants declared that “we” need a “platform” to

Unite to Share     *     Unite to Support     *     Unite to be Strong

   ...and, on the Air Force day of 2008 “EAGLES” was born.

Mission, Vision.

1. To be a welfare organization of ex-airmen and their families.

2. A platform to share joy and sorrow.

3. Conduct regular meeting of the member families and arrange recreational and educational activities.

4. Help ex-airmen to resettle.

5. Act as a nodal agency between government /non-government organizations in order to get various facilities.

6. To support ex-airmen and families in their educational, social and economical matters.

7. To provide immediate financial and other assistance within the resources available to members , in case of emergency.

8. To support the weak and neglected in the society in whatever way we can.


October 11th 2009, “EAGLES” was formally inaugurated by the honourable Mayor of Calicut, Shri M Bhaskaran in the presence of Asst Commissioner of Police Shri. C M Pradip Kumar and office bearers of various ex-servicemen organizations at S K Pottekkat Memorial Hall, Calicut.

Yes, this is the spirit which has guided us over till now and this would indeed be the spirit that would lead us over many more decades to come.
